I went to five stores and tried on about 15 dresses. Although I almost said yes at Brides of Florida, I finally said YES to the dress at La Vie En Blanc. I should have known this place was meant for me when I was offered champagne upon arriving. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the service and broad selection at Brides of Florida. Nilvia was great and patient, she went above and beyond, but I just wasn’t ready to say yes. Someone had recommended La Vie En Blanc, so I thought I’d check it out. What I loved the most was the personal nonjudgemental one on one attention I received. I felt like I was with a girl friend looking at dresses.
I almost didn’t go, afraid there wouldn’t be enough of a selection in my size and/or budget, but I went anyway. To my surprise, I had several choices to pick from. I headed to the fitting room with about six dresses. I was asked which dress I liked most or sparked my curiosity the most, so we started with that one. I looked in the mirror and I finally felt that intense feeling of certainty everyone talked about. Looked over at my mom and told her I didn’t need to try on anymore dresses because this was the one and she immediately agreed. To think this dress almost didn’t even make it to the fitting room. It just didn’t look very impressive on the hanger. As it turned out, this dress was meant for me. I don’t even need many alterations, since it fits like a glove.
Everyone told me this, and it couldn’t be more true… Keep an open mind. You will likely end up with something you least expect. I sure did, but I couldn’t be happier.
La Vie En Blanc tu est sur mon A-List!
